HSCC ROADSPORTS: ACCELERATING AWARENESS, DRIVING DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF ENCEPHALITIS
)
78% of people worldwide don’t know what Encephalitis is.
In February 2024 Historic Roadsports Chairman, Kevin Kivlochan was diagnosed with Autoimmune Encephalitis. This was a huge shock to the Roadsport community who had never heard of Encephalitis and had no idea of what Kevin and his family were about to face.
This has turned Kevin’s life upside down from his life prior to the condition which consisted of racing historic cars very successfully.
70s & Historic Roadsports wish to use their profile within the Historic Motorsport community to raise awareness of Encephalitis, it’s symptoms and help with research into Encephalitis to minimise the effect this may have on anyone else who may suffer from this in the future.
We support the non-profit Encephalitis International with their mission: rebuilding futures around the world by saving lives, accelerating awareness and driving research.
Kevin's daughter, Maisie Kivlochan, will be running the London Marathon on Sunday 27 April to raise awareness and critical funding.
