DTAFast T4 ECU

DTAFast Limited Stand: 2-146
Ben Jones

The T4 is a versatile ECU engineered to support 4-cylinder engines with full sequential ignition and fuel injection, as well as 6- and 8-cylinder engines operating in semi-sequential configurations. Designed for precision and flexibility, it delivers advanced engine management across a wide range of performance applications.

Sequential Ignition and Injection

When paired with a camshaft position sensor, the ECU can precisely control individual ignition and fuel injection events based on engine phase. This results in improved throttle response, smoother operation, and increased fuel efficiency.

Turbo Control

The T4 ECU can regulate boost pressure via the turbo valve output and control anti-lag valves. A secondary fuel and ignition map can be used to support these functions, along with an integrated turbo timer to help protect critical components.

Examples of engines the T4 ECU can support

  • 4-cylinder engines with port injection and cable throttle, supporting fully sequential ignition and injection using either a cam sensor or MAP sensor for phase detection.

  • 6- or 8-cylinder engines using wasted spark ignition and semi sequential injection.

T-Series engine control units are powered by an all-new, automotive specific, multi-core processor. They feature Bosch lambda controllers for maximum accuracy, multiple safety redundancies, high resolution map tables, fully configurable I/O and up to 32MB of logging at up to 500 Hz with compression algorithms for fast log downloads. The PC software has a user-friendly, responsive
design for better readability on high resolution monitors using high scaling (DPI). It features a full oscilloscope for crankshaft/camshaft signal analysis and allows firmware to be upgraded without special cables or separate software.
