The T4+ is an ideal solution for fully sequential control of 4-cylinder engines, supporting single variable cam control, a single drive-by-wire throttle, and individual knock control. It can also operate 6- or 8-cylinder engines in semi-sequential mode.
Drive-By-Wire
Using a configurable pedal translation map, the relationship between pedal position and throttle butterfly angle can be precisely tuned. This is especially beneficial for large single throttle bodies, where small pedal inputs can otherwise make low-speed driving difficult to manage.
Knock Control
The T4+ ECU features fully configurable knock control with individual cylinder monitoring. Engine protection strategies include ignition retard, fuel enrichment, and boost reduction, helping to prevent knock-related damage and catastrophic engine failure.
Supported Engine Configurations
The T4+ can support a wide range of engine setups, including:
-
4-cylinder engines with port injection and cable throttle, offering fully sequential ignition and injection using either a cam sensor or MAP sensor for phase detection, as well as support for a single electronic throttle.
-
6- or 8-cylinder engines operating with wasted spark ignition systems.
T-Series engine control units are powered by an all-new, automotive specific, multi-core processor. They feature Bosch lambda controllers for maximum accuracy, multiple safety redundancies, high resolution map tables, fully configurable I/O and up to 32MB of logging at up to 500 Hz with compression algorithms for fast log downloads. The PC software has a user-friendly, responsive
design for better readability on high resolution monitors using high scaling (DPI). It features a full oscilloscope for crankshaft/camshaft signal analysis and allows firmware to be upgraded without special cables or separate software.
