‘Formula 3 is now recognised as the first natural step into F2 and ultimately Grand Prix racing’. So said Paul Watson in Autosport in 1966. Equipped with a one-litre engine, these iconic cars quickly became dubbed as ‘Screamers’ as this accurately described the sound of their engines operating just shy of 10,000 R.P.M.! The 1000cc F3 Historic Racing Association is dedicated to encouraging and supporting the preservation and use of these fabulous cars and can draw on the experience of drivers who raced them in period. Our Association is a perfect contact point for those running the cars as well as those who aspire to do so; a place where technical help and information is available and a place where cars and parts can be bought and sold.
