ALAN STACEY - His Life & Lotus Career
BHP Publishing book launch

Despite loosing a leg at just 17 years old, Alan went on to become one of the most successful sports car racer in the late 50's.
This caught the attention of Colin Chapman, who offered him a Lotus works drive in sports cars, including Le Mans and eventually Formula 1.
But tragedy struck at the disastrous 1960 Belgium Grand Prix where Alan lost his life at just 27.

Written in collaberation with the Stacey family this book uses over 200 unpublished photographs, many taken by Alan himself, to bring an intimate biography of both the man and that motorsport era.
