Jon Saltinstall

Jon grew up near Donington Park, where aged 13 he witnessed his first motor race at the recently reopened circuit. While following a career in banking, Jon expanded his hobby as an amateur motorsport historian. After nine years of research his first book, Niki Lauda: His Competition History was published in 2019 and was short-listed for the RAC Motoring Book of the Year Award. He’s now completed a comprehensive history detailing the career of another driver whose eclectic competition history fascinates him; Jacky Ickx.
